Perceptions_Unscripted | 2025 International Art Competition
KiteraSpace invites artists to its Virtual International Art Competition. Exhibition will be accessible free through any device and viewable online. This offers artists around the world a dynamic digital presence, bridging in-person creativity with virtual audiences.
Perceptions_Unscripted calls artists to explore the concept of transcending perceptual limitations, whether physical, emotional, cultural, or imaginative. It challenges creators to reflect on breaking barriers, crossing thresholds, and pushing past the edges of what is accepted as real. 2D and 3D works in all styles, media, subjects are welcomed.

Eligibility:
All artists, worldwide, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit their best artwork using 2D or 3D media in medium and style as follows:
Acceptable Mediums & Sizes
- 2-Dimensional category is open to the following mediums: painting, drawing, pastels, inks, pencil, printmaking, encaustic, fabric, and mixed media.
- Photography & Digital category is open to the following mediums: analog photography, digital photography, digital photo artwork, digital painting, digital manipulations, digital collage, photo-painting, vector drawing, digital mixed media (integrated art).
- 3-Dimensional category is open to the following mediums: relief, pottery, sculpture, and conceptual 3-D artworks created in metal, paper, wood, stone, fiber, plastics, glass, ceramics, or any other medium or software which can be used to create 3-dimensional art. All 3D entries require front, back and side views to be considered and properly juried.
- There are no size limitations on the artwork.
- Artwork does not have to be for sale to be entered into the competition.
How to Submit
Prepare information:
- Your first and last name
- Where you are based (city and country)
- Web site, Virtual Exhibition, social media or online artwork for sale links.
- Images of your work (up to 3 artworks per application)
- Info for each work: Title, medium, dimensions, date created, price (if for sale)
File requirements:
_2D Images requirements:
Submit up to 3 photos (png jpg jpeg) for 3 artworks. Image should be labeled as Firstname_Lastname_Title.jpeg (Example: John_Smith_Untitled.jpg). Do not include special characters such as #,!, * or stray spaces in the file name. Doing so may prevent the file from uploading.
_3D Images requirements:
Option1: Submit up to 12 photos (png jpg jpeg) for 3 artworks. 3D work must be photographed against a white or transparent background. (front, back and 2 sides).
Option 2: Submit up to 3 photos (png jpg jpeg) and 3 files (obj mtl gltf glb) for 3 pieces of artwork. We strongly recommend to keep the file size of sculptures as low as possible. Files must be less than 32 MB.
Please be sure to include high-quality images of your work, 72 DPI, minimum 800 pixels wide. All 2D images must be cropped to show only the artwork. We recommend a file-size between 500KB and 5MB - saved as compressed high-quality jpg. The image-width of large pieces of art should be about 1900px. Files must be less than 5 MB. Allowed file types: png jpg jpeg. Images must be smaller than 5000x5000 pixels.
PDFs, zip files, or google drives are NOT accepted at this time.
Submission Fee:
You may submit 1 artwork for free
or
You may submit 3 artworks for $19 (non-refundable)
- Artists may enter the competition more than once if they have more than 3 works they want to be considered.
- Artists are encouraged to enter the maximum number of images allowable for the entry fee. All images entered are not guaranteed to be accepted.

Awards
The number of art pieces submitted, and their overall quality will determine the prize amounts awarded.

- Cash prizes will be given to the best in in each category winners: 2-Dimensional, Digital & Photography and 3-Dimensional.
- The Best in in each category winners will be the "Featured Artists" on the website for the duration of the exhibition.
- All award winning artists will receive a digital award certificate, event announcement and copy of the press release for their art portfolio.
- Links to the artist's website will be included on the artwork description and exhibition catalog and should result in increased traffic to the artist's website and social media.
- KiteraSpace’s objective is to promote the artists to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers worldwide.
- All inquiries from potential buyers who see the artwork on the Competition Virtual Galleries will be directed to the artist for negotiation and payments.
Agreement:
By submitting, artists agree to allow kiteraSpace to use images for print, online, and social media promotions. Artists retain full copyright of their work.

Disclaimer:
Our mission is to connect contemporary art with curators, collectors, art professionals, education and the general public world wide. The submission fees we receive go towards awards, funding our platform, and enable us to continue providing opportunities and free resources to artists and educators around the world. They also support the production of free virtual exhibitions, enabling us to maintain an independent platform dedicated to artists. All submission fees are non-refundable. Inappropriate images: kiteraSpace reserves the right to reject or not display any image that it feels is inappropriate or distasteful, if the image’s resolution quality is poor, if we believe the image is a copy of another painting, or it does not meet the above criteria. Digital Art that is a derivative work, created from another original artwork, must be significantly different as to constitute a new original work. The gallery reserves the right to reject the work if copyright infringement is suspected. Artists who submit an entry and images to kiteraSpace must agree to these Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Competition Rules.
The 2025 International Art Competition utilizes the Shopify platform to receive, process and manage all competition fees and awards and all payments processed through Shopify are secure. All communication regarding this exhibition will take place via email.
Email Subscription
By submitting artwork to kiteraSpace, the Artists understand and agree that they are “opting in” and will be placed on our email list and will receive future email announcements and email notices from us. If you want to be removed from this email list, please click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email and we will remove you immediately from all future emails.
Intellectual Property
KiteraSpace does not assume any rights or responsibility for work submitted. All rights are reserved by the original artist/owner of any and all work submitted to kiteraSpace.
Artist Agreement
Any and all rights associated with each piece belong to the artist in their entirety at all times. The artist, release kiteraSpace, its instructors, staff, and/or any representatives thereof, from all liability of any kind, including, but not limited to claims and/or causes of action for damages, theft, personal injury, medical expenses, costs of any kind, including attorneys’ fees and court costs arising from the participation in the 2025 International Art Competition.
Social Media Release: kiteraSpace is allowed to use images submitted--with full credit to the artist or owner--to market the art exhibition or kiteraSpace on social media including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Submissions received after the posted deadline will not be considered.
- Once a submission is made, no image substitutions may be made. Additional entries can be submitted by returning to kiteraSpace and entering the competition again.
- All work must remain in the online exhibition for the entire duration of the exhibition. No early withdrawals will be permitted.
- kiteraSpace reserves the right to cancel an exhibition, extend deadlines, or change exhibition dates. In the event of an exhibition cancellation, entry fees that have been paid will be refunded.
- The artist agrees that kiteraSpace can maintain an archive of the chosen artwork for posterity as part of a historical site record of past exhibitions.
- By entering into any art competition conducted by KiteraSpace, the artist is automatically agreeing to this Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and the Competition Rules.
